Introduction and Institutional Background
“Khel Kranti Foundation is an independent public interest sports reform initiative dedicated to advocating for transparent governance, merit-based selections, and grassroots facility development across Indian sports.”
Founded in 2016 in Haryana—a state that has consistently brought international sporting honors and Olympic medals to India—the initiative arose out of direct observations of systemic administrative challenges. Grassroots sportspersons, veteran coaches, and civil society volunteers came together after witnessing arbitrary selections, lack of transparency in federation budgets, and neglect of basic rural sporting infrastructure.
The Foundation is not centered on any individual, commercial enterprise, or political entity. It serves as a collective public platform for athletes who dedicate their youth to representing the national tricolor with pride, ensuring their hard work and merit are recognized without bureaucratic favoritism.
